These workshops can be delivered as a complete course or as one-off mindfulness intros. They are aimed at parents and carers who are looking for ways to implement calm and self-care back into their lives. The workshops are informative, useful, creative and seriously playful and the focuses for the sessions are: ‘Breathing On Purpose’; ‘Body Talk’; ‘The Wise Mind’; and ‘Kindness All Around’. All workshops will look at the foundational attitudes of mindfulness and how a regular practice can contribute to developing a sense of calm, purpose and a happier family life.

Thanks for an amazing session at Tissues & Issues yesterday. Afterwards I was inspired to have five mindful minutes to savour an ice lolly with my son - thank you.

self-care talk / workshop
With the demands of modern life, we all forget to look after ourselves sometimes. This interactive talk / workshop, aimed primarily at parents, focuses on self-care as an elusive topic that we all find challenging at times. Abigail uses her own experience to discuss how discovering self-care has worked for her, and combines creative activities with a gentle meditation to ensure all participants look at self-care in a new way that is useful for them.

AUTHOR'S TALK & MEDITATIONS FOR AN AWAKE HEART
In Abigail’s capacity as an author, she can also provide a talk on her debut novel, ‘Life is Yours’ which contains themes of mindfulness, heartbreak and self-care. Abigail covers how she came to write the book, the challenges of writing whilst looking after a young family, and how she finally managed to find a publisher who believed in the power and strength of the story. Life Is Yours is full of inspirational and uplifting themes, which Abigail explores in her talk as well as during a short Q & A session. She also incorporates a mindfulness meditation to help enliven and awaken the heart. Abigail can be available to sign books, can bring copies of Life Is Yours to sell, as well as some Life Is Yours themed gifts (subject to availability).
